Honey Maid on Thursday responded to critics of its gay-inclusive This Is Wholesome ad.

The 30-second spot, which debuted on March 10, featured diverse families, including two men who are raising two boys.

In a one-minute-and-forty-three-second clip released Thursday, the company acknowledged that “some people didn't agree with our message,” adding that it asked two artists “to take the negative comments and turn them into something else.”

The artists printed the comments, rolled them into columns and stood them on end to create a mosaic that spelled out “Love.”

Thousands of rolled up messages of support were then used to create a background for the sign.

The finished artwork beautifully made the point that opponents were outnumbered by a 10-1 margin. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
