WREN Studio is hoping to sell clothes
by bringing together strangers to share a kiss.
More than 35 million people have viewed
the black-and-white film, titled First Kiss, since its YouTube
debut on Monday.
In the film, directed by artist Tatia
Pilieva, the strangers – who vary in age and sexual orientations –
are paired up, placed in a stark room and asked to make out.
Each appears to hesitate a bit as
Soko's We Might be Dead Tomorrow softly plays in the
background, asking, “If you're not ready for love, how can you be
ready for life?”
The film's purpose is to sell clothes
and each model is attractive and impeccably dressed.
According
to Slate, the cast includes models Natalia Bonifacci, Ingrid
Schram and Langley Fox; musicians Z Berg of The Like, Damian Kulash
of OK Go, Justin Kennedy of Army Navy; singers Nicole Simone and
Soko; and actors Karim Saleh, Matthew Carey, Jill Larson, Corby
Griesenbeck, Elisabetta Tedla, Luke Cook and Marianna Palka. (The

Another film with a similar theme was
last year's 84-minute
kiss between hunky artists Idan Bitton and Alfredo Calle.
