A Utah brewery has introduced a limited
edition beer to support gay marriage.
“Live and Let Live” is a pale ale
whose label features the outline of a male couple riding a ski lift.
“This beer will have a short life.
We'll have it out as a specialty beer for a month or two and then
we'll move on,” Greg Schrif, founder and president of Wasatch
Brewery, told Utah
Public Radio. “It's just a chance to give our gay community,
our gay brothers and sisters, a little support and let them know that
they're not standing alone and that we're tying to draw attention to
the issue and that they have our full support.”
In December, a federal judge issued a
ruling declaring Utah's ban on gay marriage invalid. The state has
appealed the decision and the case has been fast-tracked by the
appeals court.
