Glee stars Darren Criss and
Amber Riley and singer Adam Lambert (also a Glee guest star)
will perform at Family Equality Council's Los Angeles Awards Dinner
2014.
Family Equality Council, a group
dedicated to LGBT families, will honor activist Jennifer Tyrrell and
Brad Bredeweg and Peter Paige, creators of the ABC Family drama The
Fosters, at its 10th
annual Awards Dinner on Saturday, February 8 at Universal
Studios' Globe Theater.
Tyrrell is the Ohio mother who in 2012
was ousted as a den leader of her son's Boy Scout troop because she
is a lesbian. Tyrrell became an outspoken opponent of the Boy Scouts
of America's (BSA) ban on openly gay scouts and leaders. On January
1, the BSA lifted its ban on gay scouts but openly gay adults remain
banned from the program.
Next weekend's show will be hosted by
Alec Mapa and presenters include Glee creator Ryan Murphy,
actress Lisa Kudrow and the cast of the ABC drama Scandal.
