After premiering last week, Looking
returns with a second episode tonight.
The HBO comedy-drama centers around
three friends – played by Murray Bartlett (Guiding Light), Jonathan
Groff (Glee, Boss) and newcomer Frankie J. Alvarez (Smash)
– who are grappling with life in San Francisco, America's most
gay-friendly city.
In the pilot, Patrick (played by Groff)
got dumped on a first date with a man he met online, attended his
ex-boyfriend's bachelor party (awkwardly running into him at a
bathroom urinal) and met a cute guy while riding the city's public
transportation.
In the episode's final frames, Patrick
searches out Richie (Raul Castillo), who is working the door at a
neighborhood bar.
A clip from tonight's episode reveals
that a relationship between Patrick and Richie is quickly developing.
“You can learn a lot about a person
in 30 minutes,” Richie, a barber, tells Patrick as they get to know
each other over beers.
“Thirty minutes is a quick haircut,”
Patrick responds with a smile.
After a bit more banter, Patrick
invites Richie to his apartment.
“Let's go somewhere else first,”
Richie says.
“Yeah, that's a good idea,” Patrick
says. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit
