Conservative commentator Glenn Beck
says he wants nothing to do with homophobes.
“Anybody within the sound of my voice
that hates a gay person because they're gay, you have no place
calling yourself a fan of mine,” Beck said Tuesday on his radio
show. “You are not a fan of mine, you have no friendship here if
you hate people because they're gay.”
Beck made his comments as he discussed
his opposition to Russia's anti-gay laws.
However, Beck added that he also has no
interest in being friends with anyone who hates anyone based on
personality traits, including sexual orientation and political
beliefs.
“You see, I'm not afraid of your
opinion,” he said. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit

Writing
at Right Wing Watch, Kyle Mantyla pointed out that “Beck brings
anti-gay activists on to his radio and television programs with
shocking regularity and is close friends with several people who
perfectly represent exactly what it means to be 'anti-gay.'”
