Anderson Cooper on Sunday revealed that comedian Kathy Griffin makes him “incredibly nervous” during New Year's Eve specials.

Cooper and Griffin appeared on CNN's Reliable Sources to discuss their seventh consecutive New Year's Eve special.

“She makes me incredibly nervous. I never sweat more than I do in that time,” Cooper said of ringing in the New Year with Griffin. “Even though it's freezing cold out, I'm usually … by the end of the evening I'm drenched in sweat because I am nervous.”

“But she makes me laugh and, you know, giggle in a way that – I'm embarrassed by the fact that I giggle that way,” Cooper added.

Griffin asked host Brian Stelter, a recent CNN personality, if he had spooned with Candy Crowley.

“I don't think that's come up in orientation quite yet,” Stelter answered.

“I'm just saying. You might get a better time slot,” Griffin said.

Cooper and Griffin said that they prefer to work on New Year's Eve. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
