In QVC UK's first on-air marriage
proposal, host Will Gowing received a proposal from his partner Steve
Gardner.
The proposal came during Alison Young's
beauty show.
Young asked Gowing to read a text from
a viewer near the end of the segment.
“Hi Ali and Will. I found my hero at
QVC over nine years ago and since then I use it everyday and the
results keep getting better and better!” Gowing read.
“It's added enormously to life,
changed my outlook of the world and I now can't imagine my life
without it.”
“The product I was lucky enough to
find almost 10 years ago was the love I shared with you Will Gowing,”
he read, his voice trailing. “Will you marry me?”
A startled Gowing asked, “Where did
that come from?”
“Yes, of course, I will,” Gowing
answered before being joined by his future husband on the shopping
