A second trailer for the upcoming gay-themed series Looking released Saturday reveals a romance between the characters played by Scott Bakula and Murray Bartlett.

In Looking, a trio of friends – Bartlett (Guiding Light), Jonathan Groff (Glee, Boss) and newcomer Frankie J. Alvarez (Smash) – grapple with gay life in San Francisco, America's most gay-friendly city.

In the 80-second video, Dom, who is played by Bartlett and is facing a mid-life crisis, is chided by a friend for resisting Lynn's (played by Bakula) advances. She says, “God forbid you actually love somebody that's not half your age who could actually care about you,” over images of the two men sharing coffee. (The video is embedded on this page. Russell Tovey (Being Human) also has a recurring role in the series.

Looking premieres on HBO January 19.
