Caroline Hjelt of the Swedish duo Icona
Pop wishes she was gay so she could be in relationship with band
member Aino Jawo.
“I think it's so important to be
proud of who you are. It all comes down to love,” Hjelt said
during a HuffPost Live interview. “I wish I was gay so I could be
in love with Aino, because we would have the perfect relationship.
Unfortunately, that's not the case, but I feel very honored that a
lot of people feel empowered when they listen to our music.” (The

The two-member band is currently
promoting its second studio album, This Is... Icona Pop. The
video for the single All
Night pays tribute to the voguing scene.
Hjelt told SheKnows.com
that All Night was about expressing yourself.
“All Night is really a song
about expressing yourself,” Hjelt said. “It's about when you've
been searching to find your crew, your element, your ways. And then
you find it. The feeling is amazing and you just wanna stay there
all night. It's such a cool feeling. You can't really describe it,
but you just know it's right.”
