Cabler E! on Monday announced that it had renewed Ross Mathews' talk show Hello Ross for a second season.

“BREAKING NEWS! #HelloRoss just got picked up for a 2nd season! THANK YOU!!!” Mathews tweeted to his nearly 470,000 followers.

Hello Ross premiered in September and is executive produced by Chelsea Handler, the host of E!'s Chelsea Lately.

Mathews, a Chelsea Lately regular who started out as “Ross the Intern” on The Tonight Show, has previously described Hello Ross as the show for “superfans” of celebrities, himself included.

The 33-year-old openly gay Mathews told the AP that he was focused on breaking into show business because he had few other options.

“Growing up, you know, wanting to do this and being what I am, which is like this cartoon version of like a gay person with a big voice and a high pitch, there were a lot of people who told me, 'It's probably not gonna happen for you. Broadcasting? It's probably not the way you should go.' (Laughter.) I'm lucky. My parents and my family were like, 'Whatever you want to do, go do it.' To be honest, I'm not really good at anything else (laughter) so there was kind of no other option. What was I gonna do? Be a cop? There was like this laser focus to get here,” Mathews said.

Guests appearing on the show's first season have included Gwyneth Paltrow, Kris Jenner, NeNe Leakes, Joe Manganiello, Leah Remini, Lance Bass, Norman Reedus, Gloria Estefan and Kelly Osbourne.
