Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are the latest celebrities to sign on as ambassadors to Thursday's Spirit Day, which supports efforts to combat the bullying of LGBT teens.

According to Yahoo! OMG!, the hip-hop duo that created excitement with their gay marriage anthem Same Love, which led to Mary Lambert's single She Keeps Me Warm, will stand up against bullying by going purple for Spirit Day on October 17.

Other famous Spirit Day participants include Ke$ha, Demi Lovato, Snooki & JWOWW, Nev Schulman and Max Joseph from Catfish: The TV Show, the cast of TeenNick's Degrassi, Betty White and the Hot in Cleveland cast, country star Kacey Musgraves, singer Mary Lambert, Fashion Police host Kelly Osbourne, NBA free agent Jason Collins, WNBA player Brittney Griner, and WWE Superstar Darren Young.

GLAAD is asking participants to wear purple or turn their social profiles purple to show their support for gay teens on Spirit Day.
