Actress Michelle Rodriguez has spoken openly for the first time
about being bisexual.
“I don't talk about what I do with my vagina, and they're all
intrigued,” Rodriguez said of the media in an interview with
Entertainment
Weekly. “I've never walked the carpet with anyone, so they
wonder: What does she do with her vagina? Plus, I play a butchy girl
all the time, so they assume I'm a lesbo.”
Rodriguez laughed when the interviewer noted that its not an
unfair assumption.
“Eh, they're not too far off,” she said. “I've gone both
ways. I do as I please. I am too fucking curious to sit here and
not try when I can. Men are intriguing. So are chicks.”
In 2006, Rodriguez denied rumors
that was a lesbian, telling Cosmopolitan
magazine that had she had “experimented with both sexes.” She
again denied the claim two years later in an interview in Cayena,
a Dominican magazine devoted to women.
The 35-year-old Rodriguez gained
notoriety playing troubled boxer Diana Guzman in the 2000 film
Girlfight, which earned her several awards, including the
Independent Spirit Award. She is currently promoting her latest
film, Machete Kills,
which opens October 11.
