Actor-comedian Lily Tomlin says her possible marriage to Jane
Wagner will be a “beneath the radar” affair.
Tomlin announced last month that the couple is considering
exchanging vows.
“Jane and I have been together for 42 years,” Tomlin told E!
Online's Marc Malkin at a pre-Emmy event. “We're thinking
maybe we'll get married.”
“You don't really need to get married, but marriage is awfully
nice. Everybody I know who got married, they say it really makes a
difference. They feel very happy about it,” she added.
Speaking to E!
News on Sunday after winning the Creative Arts Emmy in the
Outstanding Voice-Over Performance category for the HBO documentary
An Apology to Elephants, Tomlin said that the ceremony would
be “very beneath the radar.”
“We won't be able to sell our pictures to People,” she
joked.
