The Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday announced its first LGBT Night Out at Dodger Stadium.

The first annual LGBT Night Out will take place on Friday, September 27 as the boys in blue take on the Colorado Rockies. The team said that the event will feature a celebrity first pitch, a fireworks show with music by DJ Manny Lehman, and the national anthem performed by a special guest accompanied by the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles.

“We welcome all fans to Dodger Stadium throughout each season,” Dodger Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Lon Rosen said in a statement. “We are especially proud to welcome and recognize the LGBT community in Los Angeles, an integral part of the city and of the Dodgers community.”

The Dodgers are partnering with Tom Whitman of Flip Events for the annual event.

“The Dodgers have been standing on the right side of history from the days of Jackie Robinson through today,” said Whitman. “LGBT Night Out on September 27 will be an amazing night for baseball fans, for the LGBT community and everyone who is true blue.”
