A gay couple got engaged last week onstage at Broadway's
Cinderella.
After the curtain call, Santino Fontana, the actor who
plays Prince Topher, announced a “special promotion,” calling for
the people sitting in two not-so-random seats to join him on the
stage, according to Playbill.com.
Kunal Ghose and Jason Aronne, who were visiting from San Diego,
were brought to the stage, where Ghose, an engineer originally from
India, got on bended knee and proposed marriage to his boyfriend of
two years.
“Growing up in India you don't hear many Western stories but you
do read Cinderella and it left a lasting impression of finding
'happily ever after' on me,” Ghose said. “This would be a best
place to start our happily ever after like Cinderella and her
prince.”
“Jason, will you be kind enough to accept me as the man of your
life? And will you marry me?” he asked.
Aronne said “yes.” (The video is embedded on this page.
