Singer-actor Demi Lovato has joined the cast of Glee.
Lovato, 21, will play the love interest of Santana (played by Naya
Rivera), according to E!
Online.
“It's official! @TheXFactorUSA's @ddlovato will be joining the
cast of #glee for Season 5! #DemiOnGlee,” the show tweeted to its
more than 2.4 million followers.
On Saturday, Lovato messaged: “About to start rehearsals for day
2 of Glee!! Love this set!!”
“She's playing my love interest,” Rivera told MTV News, “so
I'm very, very excited about that. We get to sing a song together …
I'm excited to work with her. We're bringing her to the dark side.”
Lovato's character and Santana are rumored to be singing The
Beatles' Here Comes the Sun on an upcoming episode.
On Friday, Rivera instagrammed a photo of the pair from the show's
set.
