Adam Lambert will perform stateside
with Queen at the upcoming iHeart Music festival in Las Vegas.
The lineup for this year's festival,
which takes place at the MGM Grand on September 20 and 21, was
announced Monday morning by Ryan Seacrest.
Last year, Lambert fronted for the
British band in a series of highly successful European shows. Brian
May said there could be a reunion in the works for this year.
“We are talking about doing something
with Adam, probably for TV,” May
told MTV UK. “He's an amazing artist and a very nice guy. We
keep in touch and have a good friendship.”
“We're not talking about touring
yet,” he added. “But we are talking about doing an event.”
May and drummer Roger Taylor formed the
band Smile, which frontman Freddie Mercury altered to Queen when he
joined. Mercury died in 1991 of complications due to AIDS.
Also scheduled to perform are Justin
Timberlake, Katy Perry, Elton John, Muse, Tiesto, Chris Brown, Keith
Urban, fun, Bruno Mars, Phoenix, Zedd, Maroon 5, Tim McGraw, Ke$ha,
Thirty Seconds to Mars, Benny Benassi, Miley Cyrus, Avril Lavigne,
AWOLNATION, Pet Tong, Twenty One Pilots and Jason Derulo.
