Singer Melanie Brown, also known as Mel B and Scary Spice, says in a new NOH8 Campaign video that her “love knows no gender.”

The 38-year-old Mel B, a current judge on NBC's reality talent show America's Got Talent, appears in a 33-second video for the campaign released Tuesday.

“I posed for the NOH8 Campaign because my love knows no gender,” Mel B says in the video. “Growing up in a biracial household before it was socially acceptable taught me that tolerance means nothing without acceptance. I've never been the quiet one. And the last thing I want to be silent on is the important issue like universal equality.”

NOH8 Campaign is a silent photo protest which raises awareness and funds for gay rights causes. It started after passage of Proposition 8, California's now ended gay marriage ban.

“To me, every NOH8 photo is a step closer to acceptance. The world isn't going to change on its own. What you do is important,” she adds. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
