The cast of Days of Our Lives,
including Freddie Smith, has posed for the NOH8 Campaign, which
raises awareness and funds for gay rights causes, including ending
California's 2008 voter-approved gay marriage ban, Proposition 8.
Smith,
who plays Sonny Kiriakis, the soap's first gay character, posed in a
group photo along with cast members Greg Vaughan, Nathan Owens,
Billy Hayes, Lauren Koslow, Aaron Kunitz, Griffin Kunitz, Eileen
Davidson, Galen Gering, Suzanne Rogers, Blake Berris, Kristian
Alfonso, Deidre Hall, Joseph Mascolo and Kate Mansi.
All of those
co-stars except for child actors Aaron and Griffin Kunitz, who play
Johnny DiMera on the soap, also posed for a solo picture for the
campaign.
In
his solo photo, Smith is wearing a white shirt and is gesturing
silence with a finger pressed on his duct-taped lips.
