Real estate mogul and television personality Donald Trump will address a major gathering of social conservatives in Iowa this August.

The upcoming Ames, Iowa-hosted The Family Leadership Summit is co-hosted by The Family Leader, Citizens United, Heritage Action and the National Organization for Marriage (NOM).

“I am very much looking forward to coming to Iowa in August to speak at The Family Leadership Summit,” Trump said in a statement released by The Family Leader. “I have the greatest respect for all the groups represented and the values they stand for, and this will a wonderful opportunity to share my vision for America with them.”

Bob Vander Plaats, president of The Family Leader, said that he was “thrilled” that Trump had accepted his invitation to speak at the gathering.

The Family Leader is Iowa's leading organization devoted to overturning the 2009 Iowa Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage in the state.
