Christian conservative Linda Harvey has
accused President Barack Obama of exploiting children in support of
the “radical gay agenda.”
At a reception marking LGBT Pride Month
held at the White House, Obama was introduced by 9-year-old twins Zea
and Luna, who have two moms. In their introduction, the girls
described writing a letter to Obama last year.
“We ask the president for his support
of gay marriage, because we have two moms and they are just as good
as other parents. They love us a lot,” the girls said.
“It's really heartbreaking, friends,
to see these sweet little girls enlisted to support a radical
agenda,” Harvey, the founder of the Columbus, Ohio-based Mission
America, told listeners. “They said they have two moms, when the
truth is they have one mom and, somewhere, one dad.”
“The homosexual movement is fast
becoming a club to silence people who don't want to support this and
don't want this taught to their children.”
Harvey went on to announce the first
annual “Ex-Gay” Pride Month, slated to take place next month.
“We are actively working to receive a
presidential proclamation from the White House to commemorate Ex-Gay
Pride Month and are speaking with members of Congress to recognize
and participate in our first annual Awareness Event on the National
Mall and Evening Dinner/Reception in Washington, D.C.,” Harvey
said.
