Christian conservative Linda Harvey
argues that legalizing gay marriage will “mess” with children's
“hearts and bodies” leading to a generations of “barbarians.”
Harvey, the founder of the Columbus,
Ohio-based Mission America and a frequent contributor to the
conservative website WND.com, made her remarks on Today's Issues,
a radio program of the American Family Association (AFA).
“If we establish same-sex marriage as
a legality … it will become the cultural norm. It will become more
and more difficult for children to learn what we all were brought up
with,” Harvey
said on the program.
“And we're supposed to believe this
isn't going to revolutionize the psychology and spiritual development
of little Meghan?”
“It's going to mess with their
hearts, their minds, their spirits, and their bodies. I think we are
looking toward; I don't know that this is, maybe it's too strong a
