Singer Adam Lambert on Saturday
headlined Pittsburgh's Pride in the Street Festival, a warm up event
to Sunday's Gay Pride Parade and Festival.
“PITTSBURGH! I had SO much fun!!!!
Thank you all for being so amazing today! Great ENERGY all around ;)”
Lambert tweeted to his more than 2 million followers.
According to the Pittsburgh
Post-Gazette, Lambert took the stage on Liberty Avenue in
downtown Pittsburgh at roughly 10:15PM and performed a nearly 1 hour
show, which opened with the single If I Had You and
ended with a “dynamic” version of Whataya Want From Me.
The paper was
roundly criticized by commenters for knocking Lambert over not
“pouring out his heart and soul” like Melissa Etheridge had
last year.
“Clearly, a
heartfelt rallying cry was in order, but it seemed like he just
missed the point,” the paper wrote.
“WOW!” wrote
one reader. “Who ate your cheerios? What a snarky review! …
This reads more like a personal attack than a review!”
“I have only one
comment to say about your article of lies. Sometimes it is better to
keep your mouth shut,” wrote another.
