“Ex-gay” therapist Dr. Jerry
Mungadze determines a person's sexuality reading crayon drawings.
In an appearance last week on Daystar's
Joni Table Talk, Mungadze, originally from Zimbabwe, claimed
that his technique for altering a person from gay to straight, which
he calls Right Brain Therapy, literally changes the brain's
structure.
“The good news is, at least with the
people that I've seen, not a lot of people, when the healing takes
place those areas of the brain that were showing the homosexuality
show heterosexuality,” he
said on the show. “I have had several people who when I looked
at them I couldn't tell the difference between a heterosexual who
never was homosexual and them, which means the brain is able to go
back and fire the way it is supposed to be, which is an argument
against the whole idea of someone was born that way.”
Warren Throckmorton reported that
Mungadze's approach was to allow patients to draw with crayons.
“Apparently, pink related to
femininity, red to anger/aggression, and so on,” Throckmorton
wrote. “He says he can tell gay people apart from straights; and
when they revert to heterosexuality, he can tell by how they color
between the lines.”
“Who needs brain scans when you have
crayons?” he
added.
