Producers of the lesbian web series
Easy Abby have announced that the finale of their hit show won't
be free.
Easy Abby stars Lisa Cordileone
as a 30-something lesbian with an anxiety disorder living in Chicago.
Abby is trying to manage her anxiety attacks while working odd jobs
and seducing as many woman as possible.
The series' flawed but charming
characters have managed to attract more than 6 million views
worldwide. (A trailer for the show is embedded on this page. Visit
our video library for more videos.)
After making the show's first 12
episodes available for free on YouTube, fans will need to pay $1.99
for the finale when it is released on Friday.
“We are encouraged by the response
Easy Abby has received in just a few months and believe it’s
important to challenge the convention of original quality content
being offered for free,” producers of the show said in a statement.
“When viewers support the shows they like, indie filmmakers are
able to make content that is not usually available on mainstream TV.”
Easy
Abby is written and produced by Wendy Jo Carlton (Hannah
Free, Jamie & Jessie are Not Together) and won a Golden Kitty
Award for best lesbian web series.
