British television network ITV has released a pair of clips from the upcoming comedy Vicious, which stars Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Derek Jacobi.

Vicious, originally titled Vicious Old Queens, looks at the lives of elderly gay couple Freddie (McKellen), a retired actor, and Stuart (Jacobi), a former barman.

Jacobi and McKellen are gay in real life.

The 6 30-minute episode series is written by Gary Janetti, a former writer and executive producer of the Fox animated series Family Guy and NBC's Will & Grace

In one clip, Stuart and Freddie are sitting on a couch sipping tea.

“So who were you squawking at on the phone just now?” Freddie asks.

“My mother,” Stuart answers.

“Did you finally tell her about us?”

“I'm waiting for the right time.”

“It's been 48 years,” Freddie responds. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)

The series is set to premiere sometime this month. There are currently no plans to broadcast the series in the United States.
