Singer Adam Lambert on Friday announced
that he has split with his boyfriend Sauli Koskinen.
“It's been kind of on its way out in
the last couple of months,” Lambert said.
“Sauli and I remain really good
friends, and I know it's a cliché thing to say, but it's totally
true,” Lambert, 31, told gay weekly South
Florida Gay News. “I just gave him a coffee and a bagel
earlier today. He's a great person and we've had an amazing couple
of years together. Things have just run their course.”
The American Idol alum said
hectic work schedules contributed to the break up.
“I've been getting really busy and
traveling a lot and he's been getting really busy because he has a
show he's filming for Finnish television. So we just decided to part
ways.”
Koskinen, a Helsinki native, won the
third season of the Finnish version of the reality series Big
Brother in 2007 at the age of 22.
Lambert and Koskinen began dating in
2010.
