Financial guru Suze Orman and CNN host
Piers Morgan on Tuesday dismissed the arguments of gay marriage foe
Ryan Anderson.
Orman appeared on Piers Morgan
Tonight to discuss the topic of marriage equality as it relates
to two cases brought before the Supreme Court.

Court appears wary of broad ruling endorsing gay marriage.)
Sitting in the audience was Ryan
Anderson, the author of What Is Marriage? Man And Woman: A
Defense.
Anderson, who refused to say that he
was opposed to gay people getting married, insisted that he only
wanted the conversation to continue at a state level.
“What we want to see the court do
today and tomorrow is uphold our constitutional authority to have
that debate and to pass laws about marriage,” Anderson said.
Orman criticized Anderson, saying, “I
know that you believe very strongly what you believe, but I also know
that you're very, very uneducated in how it really, really works.
And I believe from the bottom of my heart that if you really, really
understood why the government does need to get involved, why it does
need to be legal on a federal level. If you really understood that,
there is no way that you would sit there and say what you are saying
right now.”
Morgan received a round of applause
when he said he was “offended” by Anderson's views.
“It's not fair. It's not tolerant.
It's not American,” he said. (The video is embedded on this page.
