A parody video in which a husband informs his wife that they'll likely have to divorce because gay couples can marry has gone viral on YouTube.com.

The 80-second video uploaded on Monday had received more than 720,000 videos as of Tuesday evening.

The video, titled The Ultimate Anti-Gay Marriage Ad, opens with a woman (played by Dixie Perkinson) setting the table as her husband (David Storch) arrives.

“What's wrong?” the wife asks.

“They're trying to make gay marriage legal,” he says, dismayed.

The wife drops a plate.

“Oh my god,” she cries as she reaches in for a hug.

“What's going to happen to our marriage?” she asks.

“I don't know,” the husband responds.

“But I don't want to get a divorce or marry a woman,” she responds. “I'm so scared.” (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)

The video's description adds: “Four plates were harmed during the making of this video.”
