A dog accused by his former owner of
being gay is set to be put down in Tennessee.
According to the UK tabloid The
Daily Mail, the pitbull-type hound is being held in an animal
shelter in Jackson.
The dog's owner told shelter
representatives that he assumed the dog is gay after he noticed him
“hunched over” another male dog.
A post on the Facebook page Jackson
TN Euthanasia seeks a new owner for the pooch before he is
put to death.
“Don't let this gorgeous dog die bc
his owner is ignorant of normal dog behavior! He is in kennel 10L
and he WILL be put down tomorrow bc there is no room at the inn!”
the post states.
On the former owner's assertion that
the dog is gay, the post's author wrote: “Even if that weren't the
most asinine thing I've ever heard, it's still discrimination.”
