Actor Daniel Radcliffe has described a
steamy gay sex scene in his new film “something new.”
Radcliffe (Harry Potter) plays
gay beat generation poet Allen Ginsberg in John Krokidas' thriller
Kill Your Darlings, which premiered Friday at the Sundance
Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
Radcliffe told E!
Online that Krokidas put him at ease while filming the scene.
“It was something new,” he said.
“But you know what? We shot that whole scene in maybe an hour and
a half so it was incredibly fast-paced. I didn't really have time to
stop to think and worry about it.”
“John was very helpful in furnishing
me with a lot of graphic detail of what I would be experiencing at
the various stages,” he added with a laugh.
Radcliffe added that he was able to
“hang out a little bit on the set” with the actor who plays the
sailor who Ginsberg sleeps with in the scene.
