Australian rugby star Nick Youngquest
covers the latest issue of gay fashion glossy Dorian.
The 29-year-old six-foot player with a
huge gay following is a vocal supporter of gay rights.
“I don't see any reason why gay
people shouldn't be able to marry,” the told gay glossy Out
magazine last year. “I think it should be a union of two people in
love. Why not?”
The
Dorian cover features a leather-clad Youngquest showing
off a “Mira” tattoo emblazoned on his ripped chest.
Two years ago, Youngquest, whose nude
posing for the Naked Rugby League Calendar 2007-08 stirred
controversy, told gay male entertainment blog AfterElton.com
that he's fine with being a sex symbol for gay men.
“I have no problem with it at all,”
he said, “if they want to look at me that way that's all good! I
wish sometimes I got as much attention of the ladies as I do off the
men to be honest, but it's all good. The first time I realized it
was after doing a calendar in Australia in ‘06 for breast cancer.
It was a naked calendar and I think gay guys took a liking to it
then.”
