Manhattan's THE OUT NYC was named one
of this year's top 100 hotels in the world by Fodor's Travel.
Fodor's second annual 100 Hotel Awards
were announced last week.
“We look for properties with great
amenities and stellar service that offer a unique experience to
guests,” explained Arabella Bowen, Fodor's Travel executive
editorial director, in a statement. “Every traveler will find a
dream hotel on this list, no matter what their travel personality
happens to be.”
In the trendsetting category, Fodor's
recommended THE OUT NYC to CNN.com
readers.
Located in Hell's Kitchen, and designed
by Paul Dominguez, the recent entrant to New York City's crowded
hotel landscape advertises itself as the city's first
straight-friendly urban resort.
“It's one of those properties that is
changing the hospitality landscape,” Bowen said. “You could do
everything you wanted to do and never leave the property.”
The property includes a 14,000
square-foot high-tech nightclub, XL Nightclub, a restaurant located
in its lobby, KTCHN Restaurant, and a full service spa/gym.
Prices start at $250 a night. Rates
for a “sleep share,” shared rooms with privacy curtains, start at
$79.
