Bryan Fischer of the Christian conservative American Family Association (AFA) believes exorcism can be an effective cure for homosexuality.

In an interview with David Pakman, Fischer, who recently described CNN as the “gay Gestapo,” said exorcism could help gay people escape their “addiction.”

“I think there's no question that there are spiritual factors at work in this ...” Fischer said.

“Are they demons?” Pakman asked.

“... that using spiritual weapons of our warfare according to the New Testament can be effective. We know that people can get delivered from homosexual behavior. … There may be spiritual factors at work. If there are, then the power of the Gospel, the name of Jesus Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit can be of enormous help.”

“And an exorcism might be a way to do that?”

“Well we believe in the reality of spiritual forces just like Jesus did. [If] you got a problem with demons, David, your problem's not with me, it's with Jesus Christ, because he believed in them.”

Fischer also refused to answer Pakman's repeated question on when he decided to be straight. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
