“Wins 4 marriage equality in Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington!” tweeted Ricky Martin to his more than 7.4 million followers, along with a picture of himself with President Barack Obama. “EQUALITY prevails.”

Chaz Bono messaged: “President @BarackObama makes me feel very grateful and proud to be an American. Four more years of moving Forward. God bless America.”

“And to @TammyBaldwinWI for being elected the first openly gay senator in the HISTORY of The United States,” Lady Gaga tweeted.

Comedian Wandy Sykes called the election “a big win for our country.” “I'm so very proud and grateful to be an American. So much love!”

Chris Colfer messaged: “All ages, genders, ethnicities and orientations dancing badly TOGETHER on TV! THATS America! Wouldn't see that 50 years ago.”

Singer Adam Lambert cheered marriage equality wins in messages to his more than 1,700,000 followers: “We did it!!!! Maryland and Minnesota working the marriage equality.”

Rosie O'Donnell added: “A wonderful morning in Canada – so proud of the USA.”
