Singer Pink believes she should be gay,
but tells gay glossy The Advocate that she is not.
The 33-year-old Pink also discussed
reeling back rumors that she is bisexual.
In 2009, a UK tabloid quoted Pink as
saying: “I'm not embarrassed about being bisexual. This is who I
am. Love is pure and I try to keep it that way.”
“[W]hen [a tabloid] comes out and
says, I just said I was bisexual, it's like what? That wasn't my
truth, and I like truth. I like absolute truth,” she told The
Advocate.
“I should be gay,” she later added,
“by the way that I look and the way that I am. I just happen to
not be. But it just makes perfect and complete sense.”
The Grammy-winning singer also thanked
her gay fans, saying her “gay girls are my rootstalk.”
“They've been the most loyal part of
what I do. They've been my most loyal friends, to be honest. I've
had a lot of gay boys around, but the gay girls are my rootstalk.
They're my honesty in an ocean of bullshit,” she said.
