Andy Cohen has said that Mitt Romney doesn't believe in equality for gay people.

The 44-year-old Cohen is the host of cabler Bravo's nightly live talk show Watch What Happens Live.

In an appearance on cabler Current's Say Anything!, Cohen discussed coming out with host Joy Behar.

Cohen said he feared coming out to his family and that it happened accidentally.

“I left a letter actually out, which I didn't mean to. And my mom found it. She said it was Freudian, that I actually meant to leave the letter out there. And she came and talked to me about it after dinner,” Cohen said.

“An hour later she said, 'You realize I probably would have hated your wife, anyway, right?'”

“Mitt Romney doesn't think it's so right, I'll tell you that much,” he later added.

“He is not pro-gay,” Cohen answered Behar's question on whether Romney was homophobic. “I don't think he believes in equality for gay people.” (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
