UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson “the
Spider” Silva has revealed that people used to believe he was gay.
In an interview with the Brazil edition
of Playboy magazine, Silva explained that “a lot of people
thought I was gay” growing up.
He said he played dolls with his
sisters until he was 14. “I also put on their shoes, wore a
dress,” he said.
“And because I am very vain about my
appearance, and I have a high voice, a lot of people were sure I was
gay,” he added.
The 37-year-old Silva and his wife of
over a decade, Dayane, are raising three sons and two daughters.
Silva is ranked the number one
middleweight in the world, and has held the title of UFC middleweight
champ since 2006.
