A Chick-Fil-A protest video starring
drag stars Willam Belli, Detox and Vicky Vox is preparing to return
as a flashmob, Belli has said.
In the musical parody set to the tune
of Wilson Phillips' Hold On released earlier this year on
YouTube, the drag trio sing about their bittersweet relationship with
the fast-food chain.
“Making our coins, but it's all for
food; We'll do anything; We're down for groups; After taking some
dues from behind; All we wanna score is chicken fried.” (Detox
protests, saying, “I'm a top.”)
“Someday somebody's gonna make you
wanna gobble up a waffle fry; But no go; Don't you know Chick-Fil-A
say; You'll make the baby Jesus cry.”
“So chow down at Chick-Fil-A; Chow
down at Chick-Fil-A; Even if you're gay; Chow down at Chick-Fil-A.”
“Please don't sue us for libel; We
just want meat without your Bible.” (The video is embedded in the
right panel of this page. Visit
our video library for more videos.)
Belli (RuPaul's Drag Race,
Nip/Tuck) told NewNowNext.com
that the Chow Down flashmob was happening sometime in August at “the
Hatemeat eatery.”
