Alec Baldwin is accused of making anti-gay slurs toward Colin Myler, the English-born editor-in-chief of the New York Daily News.

The 54-year-old Baldwin has made headlines twice this week for alleged attacks against members of the media. He is accused of punching a Daily News photographer and running over with his bike the foot of an Inside Edition reporter stationed outside his New York apartment.

Myler, a former executive editor at the New York Post, was the editor of the British tabloid News of the World from 2007 until it ceased publication on July 10, 2011. In January, he was named editor-in-chief of the New York Daily News.

Baldwin targeted Myler in a series of tweets to his more than 913,000 followers.

“Ever since that English Queen took over the Daily News, they lie like the Post …,” he messaged. “Her Highness Colin Myler … Please don't do to the News what you did to NOTW …”

“Colin Myler and his NOTW scams come to NY,” he added.

The 30 Rock star also defended himself, saying that the tabloid press “attempt 2 provoke an incident + when it doesn't pan out, they say u did it anyway.”
