Adam Lambert has said he appreciates Elton John's “dirty sense of humor.”

The 30-year-old Lambert performed Thursday on cabler Logo's 2012 NewNowNext Awards. The fifth annual show was taped in front of a live audience at the Legendary Avalon in Hollywood. Logo will premiere the show on April 9 at 10PM.

Kelly Osbourne, the show's host, was joined on the main state by Neon Hitch and American Idol alum Lambert, who performed the title track to his upcoming studio album Trespassing.

On the red carpet, Lambert was asked about meeting Elton John at an Oscars party.

“It was really nice to meet him for the first time actually at that party. He was really great, he's super down to Earth. Really kind of a dirty sense of humor, which I do appreciate,” he said. (Watch the entire interview at NewNowNext.com)

On Trespassing, Lambert described it as setting up “the dichotomy a lot of us deal with, especially in the gay community. We kind of put on our strength and our pride and wear it proudly and march out to the world and do what we want to do, be rebellious. But underneath all that sometimes it's not always that strong. We have our issues and we're working through things.” (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
