Johnny Weir and husband Victor Voronov appeared last weekend at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation's (GLAAD) Media Awards in New York City, where they presented on the group's efforts to legalize gay marriage.

In introducing Voronov, Weir joked: “I liked it, so I put a ring on it.”

Weir, a two-time Olympian who recently returned to competitive figure skating, and Atlanta-area lawyer Voronov capped off 2011 by tying the knot in a civil ceremony at the New York City Courthouse.

The 27-year-old Weir last month told New York's the Daily News that he has pushed back plans for a big summer wedding in favor of a winter wonderland reception.

At Saturday's awards show, Weir also adlibbed a portion of his presentation on GLAAD's work to help legalize marriage equality in various states when he encouraged the crowd to “check out our registry – Barneys and Hermes.” (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page.
