Lady Gaga on Monday tweeted acceptance of her Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards win.

The 25-year-old Lady Gaga on Saturday won outstanding music artist for her album Born This Way.

“I'm so proud to win 'Outstanding Artist' for Born This Way album at GLAAD Media Awards,” Lady Gaga tweeted to her more than 21 million followers. “Thank you so much to your organization.”

“Let's remind the world that the zeitgeist continues to beckon for equality+change. The relevancy of freedom, the ying yang of hatred+love,” she added.

Lady Gaga also won last year in the same category.

Mike Thompson, acting president of GLAAD, lauded Lady Gaga's support for gay rights in a statement released on the group's website.

“Lady Gaga has dedicated her life to making positive change in the world,” he said. “Her music and social advocacy have helped countless LGBT young people and inspired so many to raise their voices for equality.”
