Stephanie Miller's hugely successful
radio talk show will begin simulcast on cabler Current TV on Monday.
Current TV, the home of Countdown
with Keith Olbermann, The Young Turks with Cenk Uygur and
The War Room with Jennifer Granholm, was launched in 2004.
Former Vice President Al Gore serves as its chairman.
In a statement announcing the weekday
addition of Talking Liberally: The Stephanie Miller Show, Gore
said her “take on politics and news has a decidedly outsider
flair.”
Miller, who
came out gay in the summer of 2010, said she was looking forward
to joining the Current TV line-up.
“Current has the young, progressive
and involved audience that I want to reach everyday,” she said.
“The Current team shares our view that progressive political news
and commentary is critical for an intelligent and informed populace
and we're excited to be part of their growing line-up of talented
news broadcasters.”
Also joining the network's line-up on
Monday is Full Court Press: The Bill Press Show, which
will be broadcast from 9AM – 12PM ET followed by Talking
Liberally: The Stephanie Miller Show
every weekday.
