Donald Trump has said he knew Rosie O'Donnell's return to television would fail because O'Donnell “fails at everything.”

Appearing on Fox's Fox and Friends, Trump, who has previously traded barbs with O'Donnell, insisted that “she'll never make it.”

O'Donnell's The Rosie Show was trumpeted by the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) as a cornerstone of the nascent network when the show premiered in October. On Friday, OWN canceled The Rosie Show due to poor ratings.

“Frankly, that was just going to happen,” Trump said of the cancellation. “I knew it immediately when they announced it. Rosie fails at everything. She had a variety show, it failed. I mean, she … I don't understand, now somebody else, some moron will come and hire her again to do something else and that will fail. At some point, let her rest. Let her go away.”

“She must have a very good agent,” Trump added.

Trump's comments come after a The Daily Beast report concluded that O'Donnell's managing style was to blame for the show's demise and quoted a former staffer as saying, “It was such a fucking hellhole.”
