Drag superstar Sherry Vine's 30-minute
variety show She's Living for This premieres on all-gay cabler
here! TV on Friday, February 24.
According to a press release, She's
Living for This is being billed as a gay version of classic TV
variety shows which starred Sonny &
Cher, Carol Burnett and Benny Hill.
“We wanted to develop something fun
but also wildly different from what was already on the air,” said
Josh Rosenzweig, senior vice president of original programming and
development at here! TV. “Having grown up on shows like 'The Sonny
& Cher Show' and 'The Carol Burnett Show,' I thought it would be
great to bring back the classic TV variety show with a modern twist.
Creating the show around Sherry Vine was hands-down the best choice.
She sings, she acts, she is hysterically funny, and a consummate
professional.”
Guests stars scheduled to appear on the
show include Tony-nominated performance artist Justice Vivian Bond,
drag diva Peppermint, and cabaret singer and New York City legend
