Singer Gloria Estefan on Friday thanked the gay community for its support, The Huffington Post reported.

Appearing at Miami Beach gay club Score for the video release party for Hotel Nacional – the new single off her latest studio album Miss Little Havana – Estefan told the crowd that she was grateful for their support.

“I want to thank you so much, because the gay community has been behind me 100%,” she told the cheering crowd. “Conga broke through in all the gay clubs before anybody else noticed it was a hot song. You guys have been close to [my] heart and always will be.” (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)

A nine month pregnant Estefan used female impersonators to fill in for her on the 1994 video for Everlasting Love.

“So who could do me better than me? You,” she told the crowd.

“Las dragas!” they responded in Spanish.
