Singer Gloria Estefan on Friday thanked
the gay community for its support, The
Huffington Post reported.
Appearing at Miami Beach gay club Score
for the video release party for Hotel Nacional – the new
single off her latest studio album Miss Little Havana –
Estefan told the crowd that she was grateful for their support.
“I want to thank you so much, because
the gay community has been behind me 100%,” she told the cheering
crowd. “Conga broke through in all the gay clubs before
anybody else noticed it was a hot song. You guys have been close to

A nine month pregnant Estefan used
female impersonators to fill in for her on the 1994 video for
Everlasting Love.
“So who could do me better than me?
You,” she told the crowd.
“Las dragas!” they responded in
Spanish.
