Glee's Lea Michele on Thursday
tweeted a photo of herself with Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes
Mitchell along with the caption “Dads:)”
Michele plays Broadway-bound diva
Rachel Berry, whose dads have yet to appear on the Fox
musical-comedy, now in its third season.
Producers have cast Goldblum and Stokes
Mitchell to play Rachel's gay dads.
The couple will first appear on Glee's
Valentine's Day show, which is titled Heart and is expected to
air on Tuesday, February 14.
Goldblum, who is best known for his
television and film roles (credits include The Fly, Jurassic Park
and Law & Order: Criminal Intent), is an accomplished jazz
pianist and Broadway actor (The Pillowman, Two Gentlemen of
Verona and The Exonerated)
Stokes Mitchell is a Broadway veteran
who won a Tony for his performance in Kiss Me, Kate and has
been nominated for three Tonys for his roles in Man of La Mancha,
King Hedley II and Ragtime. He's previously made guest
appearances on Frasier and Ugly Betty.
Rachel's dads will sing on the episode.
Michele had been rooting for singer
Elton John to be cast in one of the roles.
