Adam Lambert has said he's considering
marrying his boyfriend Sauli Koskinen.
We regret reporting in an earlier On
Top Magazine story that Lambert was not interested in
marriage.
The 29-year-old Lambert said in an
interview with Rolling Stone that he “never considered
marriage before. But now that I am, I can't do it.”
Lambert fans told us that he wasn't
saying that he “can't do” marriage, but lamenting the fact that
gay and lesbian couples cannot marry in his home state of California.
Voters in the state narrowly approved Proposition 8 in 2008.
And while California recognizes gay
couples with domestic partnerships, the union falls short of
marriage.
Rolling
Stone described the track Outlaws of Love, which is
included in Trespassing, Lambert's upcoming second studio
album, as a “smoldering serenade about gay marriage” and then
attributed the quote to Lambert.
Stories that Lambert and Koskinen were
dating first appeared on the Internet about a year ago.
In August, Lambert told OK
Magazine that he's in love with Koskinen.
“[T]he good news is that I am in
love,” he told the magazine, “so that's a good place to be.”
